Your Chess Coach is devoted to teaching chess to children of all ages. Although we are able to turn children into strong tournament players, if that is their goal, we are more interested in having them learn the many life skills that chess teaches. Studies around the world have shown that a child's educational experience is enhanced by adding chess to their curriculum.
Laura Sherman wrote a book, published through Mongoose Press, called Chess Is Child's Play - Teaching Techniques That Work in 2012. This book teaches any parent (of any skill level) to teach a child of any age (four and up). The book has been a bestselling chess book on amazon since its release.
